The Public Sector Equality Duty means that public authorities must take a proactive approach to equality, becoming proactive agents of change.

We offer facilitated workshops to assist organisations in developing their responses to the ‘Equality Duty’.  Our workshops equip participants with the broad range of knowledge and skills that will be essential to the successful preparation, implementation and delivery of ‘Equality Schemes/Plans’ within the organisation.

We offer practical Equality Impact Assessment and Analysis workshops for organisations, and additionally offer Equality Impact Assessment and Analysis Toolkits prepared to meet the needs of individual organisations.

Customised Consultancy Services


We are able to offer a full range of consultancy services with respect to the ‘Equality Duty’. These include (but are not limited to):

  • Specific advice, guidance and project work on Equality Scheme/Plan development.
  • Specific advice, guidance and project work on the implementation of Equality Action Plans.
  • Tailored research services, ensuring involvement of people from diverse groups (including service-users and staff).
  • Full assistance with Equality Impact Assessments and Analysis, for example, conducting an analysis of the quality of EqIAs undertaken by the organisation and conducting Equality Impact Assessment and Analysis work from scratch.
